South Australia’s EV Charging Network – submitting a proposal

Home / Electric vehicles / South Australia’s EV Charging Network – submitting a proposal
Proposals are now sought from prospective charge point operators to develop a section or sections of the South Australia’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Network.

The South Australian Government is investing up to $13.4 million to leverage approximately $25 million of private investment in the statewide charging network.

South Australia’s EV Charging Network will address key barriers to uptake – driving range and road trip anxiety – and demonstrate to car manufacturers that South Australia is an ‘EV ready’ market.

The Department for Energy and Mining seeks proposals in the following priority areas:
• Rapid destination and highway charging
• Fast fleet CBD car park and fast hotel, motel and holiday park accommodation charging

Applicants need to first log on to the SA’s EV Charging Network – Grant application portal and complete an Application Form.

Once verified, Applicants will gain secure access to an online Data Room containing South Australia’s Electric Vehicle Charging Network Funding Guidelines as well as other reports and information to support the development of a formal Proposal. They will also be invited to attend a briefing session.

In addition, verified Applicants will gain access to critical information about the 600 prospective charging station locations, including the contact details of the property owners and tenants that registered these properties during the Registration of Interest stage.

All Proposals must be submitted by 5pm (ACST) Monday 2 August 2021.
