Towards renewable hydrogen production

With the support of a $4.9 million grant from the South Australian Government, Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) is in the final stages of constructing Hydrogen Park South Australia (HyP SA) at the Tonsley Innovation District.

HyP SA will produce hydrogen using water and renewable electricity through a process known as electrolysis. The hydrogen will be blended with natural gas for nearby homes and businesses via the existing gas network . Through a partnership with BOC, green hydrogen will be trucked from Tonsley to industrial consumers in South Australia, which could extend to hydrogen refuelling stations.
