The Government of South Australia funds the Bioenergy Roadmap Program. The Program is administered by Regional Development Australia – Limestone Coast and helps businesses and industry groups to identify and develop bioenergy projects.

The first component of the Program is a Bioenergy Planner. The Planner utilises existing Government resources from Green Industries SA, RenewablesSA and Primary Industries and Regions SA to provide a first point of contact and facilitation.

The second component, Bioenergy Connect, is a $50,000 program being administered by Regional Development Australia – Limestone Coast. Successful applicants are allocated a bioenergy mentor to guide them through the conceptual stage of developing a project and help estimate the benefits of the bioenergy technology to the business. The resultant pre-feasibility report will define the value proposition for the applicant. Further information, guidelines and application forms are available at Regional Development Australia – Limestone Coast.

The third component, the Bioenergy Feasibility Fund, is a $100,000 matched grant program. This Fund is available for all regions of South Australia, upon successful application, over a two-year period beginning 2016-17 or until funds are expended. It complements the Bioenergy Connect Program by providing matched funds towards the feasibility assessment of bioenergy projects.
